Kobe among his 4 daughters was more fond of Gigi and the two got close after she started playing basketball. Gigi started accompanying her father to almost every NBA game. He would also accompany her to all of her games at the Mamba Sports Academy in Newbury Park. As a teenager, Gigi started playing competitive basketball in the AAU basketball team in 2011. Following this, she and her team were coached by Kobe in his Mamba Sports Academy training facility in Thousand Oaks, California.

Apart from her father, Gigi’s favorite player was Luka Doncic. In an interview, Kobe said that after retiring from basketball it was because of Gigi that he started watching the game. After the incident, three years later, the autopsy reports were released for both Kobe and Gigi. Following this, on the second day of the testimony when those images were being discussed, Vanessa Bryant walked out of court. According to sources, she got emotional when Victor Gutierrez, a bartender, described what he saw in those photos in detail. But later she returned to hear Guitierrez’s testimony before leaving the courtroom.

Thus, one can only think of how horrifying it would have been for Vanessa to hear such things. However, it was quite a private affair for the Bryant family that should not have been done publicly.
