This year’s Super Bowl LVII has crowned the Kansas City Chiefs as the champions. The game involved controversial calls, which had referees under fire for the calls were made. However, with the loss to Philadelphia Eagles, NBA games will carry on as scheduled. The Philadelphia 76ers will be hosting the Houston Rockets at home. Draft pick Jabari Smith Jr. is upset after the Eagles’ fans took to the streets after the loss in the Super Bowl.
The Rockets drafted Smith Jr. as the 3rd overall pick in the first round, after Paolo Banchero and Chet Holmgren. Out of the three Banchero is having a better season than the two, as for Holmgren he is out for the season with an injury. The Rockets are rock bottom of the Western Conference and will be playing the Sixers. In a game where rookie Jabari Smith Jr. will be playing against the best players in the league.
“Man, I’m tryna sleep. Man, I got Embiid tomorrow and y’all up beating drums. Please just go to sleep man. I know y’all mad. I know, I know, I know.”

Jabari Smith took to Instagram and gave a hilarious reaction to all the noise, outside his hotel room. “Man, can y’all just go to sleep? Y’all folks lost. Y’all out here beating drums and keeping me up, man, I’m tryna sleep. I got Embiid tomorrow and y’all are beating drums. Please just go to sleep man, I know y’all mad, I know. You win some, you lose some, but you live. Making all this noise, God damn.” Said Jabari Smith Jr.
Jabari Smith Jr. will have the job to keep Joel Embiid at bay, but first, he will have to go through the Eagles’ fans. The Eagles fans took to the streets after their loss against the Chiefs. The Eagles Fans didn’t let the rookie have a good night’s rest after all the noise they created on the streets.
Will Jabari Smith Jr. be able to keep Joel Embiid at bay?
The Houston Rockets will be facing one of the best teams to be title contenders. The Rockets haven’t been able to get their season running. For the large part of the season, they have been at the bottom of the table. Rookie Jabari Smith Jr. will be attempting to keep Joel Embiid from having a significant impact on the game. However, in the last matchup, he played 39 minutes and had 16 points and 11 rebounds in the win against the Sixers last time out.
Tonight will be a stern test for the rookie as he will go up against the best big man in the league. It is still a learning phase for the 3rd overall pick and is sure to learn some things from the game. However, he will have to put in his best game to keep the Sixers from running away. This season he is averaging 12.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists for the Rockets.
