It seems like the spotlight has been on Kyrie Irving for a while now. Reports from the last couple of months have suggested that he was looking to leave the Brooklyn Nets. However, he chose to extend his stay and opted in. It seemed like he was going to give one more shot at the title with the Nets.

This time around, Kyrie has gotten the attention on him after his tweets. A Twitter user recognized how good Kyrie’s off-hand abilities were. The Nets star replied to the tweet with a link to the YouTube video where NBA legend Kobe Bryant praised Irving’s shooting. Another user replied to Kyrie’s tweet. He said, “gassing yourself up like this is crazy but I’d be doing the same thing tbh”.

Is Kyrie Irving planning to leave the NBA for his retirement?

As a reply, the American tweeted, “I don’t ever have to Gas myself up, I’m going on my 12th year in the best league in the world and I am only getting better. When I am 38 years old and have time to reflect on my career truly, I will do so”. His response was a bomb in disguise. Needless to say, his response rested all the rumors on rest.

I don’t ever have to Gas myself up. I am going on my 12th year in the best league in the world and I am only getting better. When I am 38 years old and have time to reflect on my career truly, I will do so, but until then, I am enjoying every moment. ♾A11Even

However, Kyrie chose to provide some clarity quickly. He mentioned, “And no I won’t be done playing basketball at 38 years old lol, I’ll be in leagues all over the world playing and teaching the youth all that was taught to me.”

The Nets guard is 30 years old now. He revealed that he will be in other leagues around the world after he turns 38. It seems like NBA players nowadays are looking to leave the pressure of the league when retiring. Make no mistake, the NBA is one of the best leagues in the world because of the spirit and pressure involved in every shot a player takes.

However, players may want a more peaceful retirement option. At the end of a long career, they may want to continue in the sport just out of love for the sport, instead of competing with the pressure that they had to deal with for years.

There may be another reason why the former Celtics player wants to retire outside of the USA. Basketball is definitely the biggest in the country. And the USA is a country that boasts the best basketball players and leagues. There is no doubt that Kyrie is one of the best players to play in the current era. His experience and talent would make him a worthy teacher.
