The birth of Matteo Nash struck a lot of controversy between his father Steve Nash and his mother Alejandra Amarilla. Back in 2001, the NBA athlete met Amarilla while he played for the Dallas Mavericks. After a few years of dating, they welcomed twin girls named Lola and Bella. A year later, the couple felt that it was time for them to tie the knot. But this marriage never lasted for too long.
In 2010, the Phoenix Suns legend and Amarilla announced that they were having their third child, Matteo. Unfortunately, it was around this time that the couple had problems and separated for several months. The only reason they tried to keep things peaceful between them was because of their children. Several rumors about Alejandra cheating on Steve Nash with one of his teammates surfaced.
Perhaps the biggest rumor of them all was that Matteo Nash was born black. There isn’t proper evidence available to support this rumor. However, fans eventually linked Jason Richardson to this issue after the Suns had traded him to the Orlando Magic right after the child’s birth.
It was enough for fans to speculate that Richardson was the one having an affair with Nash’s wife and that he had caused problems between them. However, Steve has since moved on from Alejandra and married Lilla Fredrick a few years following his divorce.

Matteo Nash was born on November 12, 2010, to Steve Nash and Alejandra Amarilla. Today, he is more or less a celebrity among his peers as his father was one of the greatest NBA point guards ever. There isn’t much information available on Matteo he has also made a couple of appearances with his father at basketball-related events.

As mentioned earlier, Matteo Nash has two sisters who are twins. Matteo was around the age of 4 when Steve proposed to Lilla Fredrick. They eventually tied the knot a couple of months later. In 2017, Matteo was introduced to his newborn step-brother, Luca Sun Nash. Steve, his four children, and Lilla have often appeared together on social media as well.

Matteo probably attends school in Brooklyn, where the Nash family has been residing ever since Steve was hired as head coach for the Nets. Steve is very supportive of his children and wants to absolute best for them. Nash isn’t insistent that his children become athletes in the future, however, he wants them to pursue their dreams.
