Jimmy Butler is one of the most elite guards in the league. The 33-year-old has taken the league by storm, leading his team to the Finals. The Miami Heat were demoted to the 8th seed after qualifying from the Play-In tournament. Miami was originally 7th in the East.
Despite their lower position in the bracket, the team fought through all the forces to make it to the Finals. It seemed that all the team wanted was a spot in the playoffs, and the rest would follow.
Led by Jimmy Butler, Miami came into the third round without any problem. Going 3-0 against the Celtics in the Conference Finals, it seemed that the Heat would have the easiest path to the Finals being an 8th seed, though the Celtics had other plans. After blowing a 3-0 lead, the Heat finished the job in Game 7. Butler only missed one game during the run. It is pretty rare to see Jimmy ruled out in the middle of the playoffs.
Jimmy Butler missed less than 10 games in the 2019-20 season
Ever since Butler’s emergence as a noticeable player, he has been consistent throughout each season. Jimmy’s time in Minnesota was pretty successful as he and KAT led the team to its first playoffs in 14 years. Butler had missed around 18 games during the regular season due to injuries. The following season, Butler was traded to the Sixers. Playing for Philly, Butler performed at his best, but couldn’t really fit in the roster. Jimmy had missed just 10 games during that season.
The 2019-20 season was the most defining season for Butler. Jimmy had joined the Heat and took to the Finals in his first season wearing a Miami jersey. He had only missed 9 games due to injuries, though he did take quite a lot of rest, missing an additional 15 games. All in all, Butler has missed a total of 90 games due to various injuries in his career. He’s been a consistent player, performing greatly even after returning from injuries.
Jimmy is a great leader, as he gets his teammates to perform at their best. Playing in the Finals yet again, Butler has proven himself as an elite-level guard and scorer. The guard brings a major impact on the team, settling himself as the only leader. As of now, Butler is having the best postseason of his career, putting up MVP numbers as the Heat battle the Nuggets for the championship.
