Being the daughter of one of the greatest players in the NBA Kobe Bryant is amusing. However, the backlash that comes with the littlest things can be daunting. Natalia Bryant, the eldest daughter of Kobe recently found herself in the middle of backlash over her 2021 prom date. Choosing a prom date is normal for high schoolers, however, when someone as popular as Natalia did, the fans had absurd questions.

One of the fans fetched an old image of her alongside her date and posed a question on the ‘X‘ platform. They asked, “Are you okay with Natalia Bryant (Kobe Bryant’s daughter) taking a white man to prom?”. The tweet went viral and had fans pouring reactions from worldwide. Most of the comments restore the belief in humanity as they are positive and supportive.
Notably, a fan said, “Kobe Would Never Care”. On similar lines, another emphasized how asking such a question is disrespectful to the Lakers star. They stated, “This level of disrespect to Kobe is INSANE”. Additionally, numerous comments appreciated Natalia’s look and how beautiful she is. Some could not help but talk about the couple as they said, “They look like a cute couple”. Notably, it is not confirmed whether the two are dating or not.
Natalia Bryant went to two prom nights
Kobe Bryant’s prom left everyone amazed as he brought a pop star. While, his daughter, Natalia did not make an entrance with a renowned person, she interestingly had two prom nights. The first one was on the same day as Kobe’s Hall of Fame induction. Whereas, the second one was a few months apart in 2021 itself.
Furthermore, Vanessa Bryant was the one who shared snippets from both the proms. Natalia wore a beautiful pink dress for her first one. A few days later, Vanessa also revealed how she wasn’t able to go to hers, so, she did not want Natalia to miss hers. On the second one in which Natalia was captured with her prom date, she was wearing a dress designed by Dolce & Gabbana.
Kobe Bryant once humorously said that Natalia Bryant can date when she is married
It is undeniable that Kobe Bryant’s family misses him dearly in every moment of their life. Especially on special memorable events like going to prom or choosing a date. Interestingly, the 5x NBA championship winner spoke about her daughter Natalia and humorously revealed when she can date.

In an interview with Insider, Kobe was asked when Natalia Bryant could date. To which, Kobe replied, “When she’s married”. He continued, “We still don’t know what came first, the chicken or the egg right? I mean, she can date when she’s married”. The Lakers star meant that she could not date by definition. Kobe Bryant was not only known for his Mamba Mentality but also his humous style.
