Luka Doncic Signs Record Rookie Supermax Extension With The Dallas Mavericks

Luka Doncic is a guard in the NBA and he plays for the Dallas Mavericks. Going on to his fourth season in the NBA he has already a star in the league. He’s the NBA 2k22 cover athlete, a feat many starts achieved after years of experience in the league. Legends like Dirk Nowitzki has high praises for Luka’s game. At the age of 22, he has already made 2 All-NBA teams and played in 2 all-star games which made him eligible for a rookie supermax extension.

Luka Doncic’s record-breaking season earns him a rookie supermax contract

Since the day he entered the league, he has been exceptional. Luka is a fan favourite and one of the most loved players in the league. He was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks as 5th overall and was traded the same day for Trae Young by the Mavs.

To this day it’s still unclear as to who won the trade because both these players have been exceptional for their teams. Luka singlehandedly fueled the Mavs’ playoff run while Trae took them to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Bucks.

The Deal is a $2o7 million 5 year deal with a player option. Luka showed his excitement for this new extended venture with the Mavs and is looking for a great season ahead.

Doncic showed his superstar calibre in the league. He was playing at an MVP level last season and continued that to his nations Olympic run. He is always there in the MVP conversations and seldom disappointed.

His game is so dominant that he is a threat from both beyond the arc and inside the paint. With his improved contact shots and free throw percentage, he looking to dominate the league. with the start of this new season, Luka will be one to watch in the NBA.
