Shaq is one man with the ambition of many. After dominating the NBA with his multiple accolades and a hall of fame career, he began to continue his streak of dominance elsewhere. You’ve also seen him in movies and heard of his cookbook. He’s even made his appearance in the WWE and is an Emmy-winning sports analyst on NBA on TNT.
But his most prominent career after the NBA has been his DJ-ing career.
Shaq and his DJ-ing legacy
Shaq retired from the NBA in 2011 after playing just 37 games for the Boston Celtics. He was getting too slow and old for the current game and decided to hang up the boots. About 4 years later, Shaq debuted his DJ-ing career at TomorrowWorld 2015. He took the stage for the first time in front of tens of thousands of fans with his unique mix of music. His set includes varied genres of music, a little bit of something for everyone.
Since his success that night, he never looked back. He literally became ‘the biggest’ DJ in the world. He’s performed at huge festivals and worked with some big artists as well. Some of his concerts have given us viral clips due to the big diesel’s humorous nature at performances.

“Music and sports are the only things that can bring people together,” said Shaq in an interview with CBS morning.
Shaq was allowed, to reflect on his career as a DJ. Also, the joy on his face and happiness in his actions when he is DJ Diesel gives us more than we need to know about how passionate he is about being a DJ.
The one thing that he lacked as an NBA player was his lack of motivation for the craft. However, that does not seem to be the case for Shaq, the DJ.
Will DJ Diesel’s legacy be remembered alongside Shaq’s NBA legacy when it’s all said and done?
