With that said, very few players actually complete their full degree before becoming professional athletes. After all, studies can get in the way of training, which is the primary focus for players. We should want to know more about this achievement by the NBA veteran and what it means.
What did Chris Paul study at Winston-Salem State University?
It would certainly interest fans to know that CP3 completed his bachelor’s course in Mass Communications at Winston-Salem State University. This is a long-due achievement for Paul and he was moved during the entire ceremony and shared his feelings soon after.
Last night, Chris Paul beat the Clippers in LA.
He then hopped a plane and flew 2,000 miles to Winston-Salem State University.
Today, he’s graduating from the HBCU with his degree in communications — and he’s giving every WSSU graduate $2,500 🎓

“I didn’t want it to be about me,…I was trying to make it as normal as possible. You know, all these students here have fought their butts off for a while to get their degree. And I wanted to make sure that in no way I was trying to show them up on their special day. They had a lot of family, loved ones that’s here to support them and to see them. And I just wanted to be a graduate just like that.”
Winston-Salem State University is quite a reputed organization. In fact, it is a historically Black Public university located in North Carolina. the college offers over 40 academic majors and 10 graduate degrees to its students.
It is from here that the Point God has finally graduated. Paul was cheered on by his family and loved ones during this important occasion. In order to make it all the more special, CP3 gifted $2500 to everyone in his class who was graduating.

This is truly a thoughtful gesture that few people are capable of doing. There is little doubt that Chris felt they didn’t deserve the money. After all, he knows exactly how hard they worked to graduate. We hope to see Chris Paul put his new education qualification to use, once his NBA career ends.
