Hollywood star Adam Sandler is an avid follower of the NBA. He has recently released a movie called ” Hustle”. The Comedy/Drama with a basketball storyline is soon to release and Sandler ensured having LeBron James himself help with the making of the movie.
Sandler has acted in several basketball-focused movies in the past. He has included notable NBA legends such as Shaquille O’Neal in movies such as “Grownups“. It is noteworthy that he decided to take inputs from one of the most authentic sources in the sport of basketball, King James.
LeBron James is trying his hand at producing
The Chosen One has made quite a reputation for himself as an actor. However, James did not play an active acting role in “Hustle“. Maverick Carter and LeBron decided to produce the movie. This could be a worthy investment for the recent billionaire.
Movies with NBA superstars are bound to attract attention. “Hustle” already has a star-studded cast with Aaron Gordan and Anthony Edwards in it. Adam Sandler was asked what role LeBron and Carter played in the production of the movie. This conversation occurred in a podcast with Shaquille O’Neal.
“So those guys had the script and they teamed up with this other guy Joe Roth who I made the waterboy with and they Springhill had the script the idea and they brought it to me and I loved it so we kinda teamed up me and my guys rewrote it we found a cool director.”
Sandler has played several roles as an actor. Therefore, he knows that making a legitimate impact on the audience is based on how realistic a movie is. He went on to say the following.
“But we wanted to make it as NBA as possible so LeBron and Maverick that world they just knew everybody.. that was a lot of what went on and we would go over different drafts… their opinions on everything… using footage stuff like that“.
“Hustle” is centered around a coach who finds a raw talent abroad he attempts to bring to the NBA. The movie has just been released and it is uncertain how well it will do. However, it appears to have excellent potential and scope.
