Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. However, for the young star, things are looking bright, after helping his team make it to the postseason for a second time. He averaged 24.6 points per game and was selected as an All-Star for the very first time in his career. With such performances, and slowly turning out to be a superstar, Adidas is set to offer him a signature sneaker.

Ant-Man has some serious potential, and Adidas believes it’s time to give him what he deserves. Adidas is set to make him a signature athlete. With the news of Edwards going to be a signature athlete next season. The name or design is not confirmed by the brand itself. However, they look very similar to Kanye West’s Yeezy’s. Some fans are calling it a “Yeezy Ripoff,” one fan mentioned on Twitter.

The rumored look of Ant-Man’s first-ever signature sneakers is not liked by several fans. With the photo being rumored, it is not going to be the end product from the German brand. However, one thing is for certain, the sneaker shows a resemblance with the Yeezy’s. The Yeezy was one of the top sneakers in the market until Adidas decided to stop selling Yeezy merchandise after they called off the deal with Kanye West.

There have been many rumored decisions made by Adidas concerning Yeezy merchandise. However, Adidas has finally decided on what they plan to do with the remaining Yeezy merchandise.

CEO of Adidas, Bjorn Gulden announces to sell off remaining Yeezy merchandise

Adidas reported a huge loss for the Q1 of 2023, with Yeezy’s not being sold. “The guidance reflects the revenue loss of around € 1.2 billion from potentially not selling the existing stock,” Gulden stated. Adidas has finally made their decision, that they are going sell some of the stocks of the Yeezy sneakers. Some portion of the money from the sale will be donated to charity.

Along with the sale of the Yeezy, they have also decided to pay 15% of the proceeds to Kanye West, as decided previously in the contract. Initially, Adidas was planning to burn all the merchandise, but it didn’t make much sense. “What we are trying to do now over time is sell parts of this inventory and donate money to the organizations that are helping us and that were also hurt by Kanye’s statements,” Gulden continued.

It is a popular decision from Adidas to not burn down the entire inventory, rather than sell them. With the proceeds, they promise to donate some of the money to charity.
