The Golden State Warriors just beat the Celtics at home to win their 4th Championship in 8 years. There was a time in this series when the Warriors found themselves down 2-1. Game 4 was played at the Celtics’ home ground and they had all the tools required to take a commanding 3-1 lead, but The Warriors tied it up at 2-2 backed by an extraordinary 43-point performance by Stephen Curry.
The Celtics then went on to lose 3 games in a row and with that, they also lost their shot at a championship. Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Marcus Smart were expected to show out and claim victory for the Celtics. But, outside those three, there was another Celtic player who was willing to go above and beyond his role to help the C’s win the 2022 Championship.
Al Horford played excellent defense and averaged 12.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in the 2022 NBA Finals. He also had a huge 4th Quarter performance in game 1 that helped the Celtics take the lead.
Al Horford’s excellence was not enough to stop the Golden State Warriors
He was playing so well that people could see glimpses from his time with Atlanta. Al Horford made play after play and refused to give up until the final whistle. However, his teammate and the Celtics’ number one option Jayson Tatum failed to show up when his team needed him.
The Celtics went from taking control of the series to losing it within a week and a half. This upset a lot of people and among them was Al Horford’s sister Anna Horford who took to Twitter with some choice words about the NBA Finals.
Congrats to the bitch ass Warriors. Yes, I’m salty. Yes, it was a shitty loss. Love our guys & love how far we came. Sad for my brother who played an amazing game. Go Cs ☘️

But you can’t hide anything from the internet. After some fans looked into it, they discovered that Anna Horford was a huge Warriors fan back in 2016. They dug up some tweets of her supporting the dubs during their finals run that year.
Anna you’re Warriors fan. Al Horford will never be a champion. 😂 pic.twitter.com/HnUthIaTRc
