Zach LaVine has been one of the driving forces for the Chicago Bulls this season. The combination of him and DeMar DeRozan has been perfect and it is safe to say the Bulls are back. They are 2nd seed in the eastern conference with a 38-21 record.
Zach LaVine however had an injury scare this season and sat out a number of games. The star was also selected for the NBA All-Star game in Cleveland and will be against teammate DeMar DeRozan. The big question is whether the star is fit enough to play the game.
Zach LaVine cleared to play basketball
LaVine visited a knee specialist this week and according to coach Billy Donovan, the news is good. The Knee was looked at and it was decided that Zach can get back to playing basketball for the Bulls. The knee had to have fluid drained from it. Billy Donovan said,
“Right now the doctors feel totally fine with him resuming playing. Zach felt very, very good about the meeting. … He’s probably going to be about 48 hours before he can do any activity really, but he should be able to resume any activity after that.”
The even better news is that Zach LaVine will be in action at the NBA All-Star game that happens on Sunday night. He will be a part of Team Durant and go up against Team LeBron James.
Zach has already given us a ton of AllpStar memories with the remarkable dunk contest in 2016. We can only hope he brings back the same energy this time as well in the game.
The Chicago Bulls star was also seen courtside with teammate DeMar DeRozan to support the Chicago Bulls rookie. Ayo Dosunmu was one of the rookies that took part in the Clorox Rising Stars challenge.
Even though his team did not win it was nice to see Zach and Deebo all pumped up to represent the Bulls and support those representing the team as well.
