The 2023 NBA All-star game will begin very soon. NBA fans will be aware that this is an event that is conducted every season in a different city. Superstars like LeBron James will be traveling to Utah this year for the NBA all-star game. However, injuries often derail plans and multiple stars look to be injured for this game.
The All-Star game has traditionally always been about the fans. After all, their voting plays a huge role in the decision of both the starters and reserves from each conference. Unfortunately, these fans are helpless in the wake of injury and should simply accept that some stars might not be able to give big minutes on the court tonight.
With that being said, let us take a look at all the stars who are injured for the 2023 NBA All-Star game and understand why it is unlikely for them to take the court in Utah.
Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Zion Williamson are injured for the 2023 NBA All-Star game
Fans will truly be disappointed to hear that multiple well-known NBA stars might not be playing in this game. Most notably, Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. Their play was good enough for them to be voted as starters in the NBA All-Star game.
However, it is highly unlikely that they both play in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game. Interestingly both Curry and Durant are out with knee injuries. Another starter, Zion Williamson might not be playing after aggravating his hamstring injury. Therefore, Ja Morant, Joel Embiid, and Lauri Markkanen were selected as replacements.

Even Embiid does not look completely healthy and is going through left foot soreness. While he has been playing for the 76ers over the past few games both his minutes and impact look limited. Perhaps he would prefer the rest that comes with the NBA All-Star game as opposed to playing in it.
In any case, Curry, Durant, and Zion will be three players missing this year’s all-star game. This is somewhat saddening for fans considering the popularity that these players generate. Especially the Baby-Faced Assassin and the Slim Reaper.
Thankfully, the other major stars like LeBron, Giannis, Luka, Tatum, Jokic, Mitchell, and others look healthy for this game. Therefore, we hope that it will still be an amazing event to spectate.
