Jrue Holiday was born on June 12, 1990, in Los Angeles, California, United States to his parents, Shawn and Toya Holiday. He was drafted into the league by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2009 NBA draft as the 17th overall pick of the first round. Holiday was a part of the Sixers for four seasons before joining the New Orleans Pelicans from 2013 to 2020.
After his stint with the Pelicans, Holiday joined the Bucks and eventually made his way to the Celtics.
