Bradley Beal is the sole star of the Washington Wizards. He has been close friends with Jayson Tatum for many years now. Beal has proven himself to be an intimidating offensive talent in the league. However, he has never gotten deep into the postseason with John Wall or Russel Westbrook as his teammates so far. He revealed a motivational phone message he received from Tatum and how it inspired him.
The Wizards star was sidelined from any NBA action this season. He was injured and suffered a torn ligament on his left wrist. The injury’s nature required surgery. Therefore, he made the call to sit out this NBA season.
Bradley Beal and Jayson Tatum go way back together
It would interest many people to know that Jayson and Bradley are actually best friends. Additionally, they were in the same middle school and high school. However, Beal was a few years older. This duo has maintained their friendship all the way from childhood to the NBA.
Bradley was having a conversation with a report when he revealed a motivating phone message that he received from JT. The voice note was full of positivity.
“Cuz without you I wouldn’t be me so you don’t get enough credit but imma always give you the credit and you gotta relax man ever since AAU you’ve always been cussing out kids man Appreciate you its all love imma see you this summer.”
Beal was asked how it felt receiving this heartwarming message from Tatum. He was filled with emotion and replied, “It’s surreal in a lot of ways.. that’s dope cuz for me I didn’t have that image per se…its funny that he talked about the AAU team because he was part of that… that speaks volumes at his character and its who he is“.

There was a time in the NBA when joking about how young Tatum was as the years went on became a trend. “he’s only 19” persisted even when JT turned 21. However, jokes aside he has proven to be a good teammate, father, and friend over the past few years. That is the definition of growing up and he’s doing it right before our eyes.
