After shocking revelations come to light when allegations were made against Morant for flashing a gun at a 17-year-old and punching him, according to The Washington Post. He flashed a gun in an Instagram live after the game. Morant is making a case for himself to ruin what looks to be a great career in the long run. His decisions at the moment are startling to the fans, as he is constantly making a bad name for himself.

The Grizzlies suspended Ja Morant for 2 games for the incident he Denver and not for the allegations made. The 23-year-old flashed a gun in an Instagram live, to which the Grizzlies took notice. However, the 2-game suspension could very well turn into a longer suspension, than what the Grizzlies initially handed Morant. It has raised another set of allegations, where Morant brought the gun into the team plane.

Section 9(a), reads, “Whenever a player is physically present at a facility or venue owned, operated, or being used by a team, the NBA…such player shall not possess a firearm of any kind or any other deadly weapon.” This means he could be penalized by the NBA, suspend the player for an indefinite period, and impose a $50,000 fine according to article 35(e).

The Grizzlies point guard flashed a gun on Instagram Live, in a nightclub early Sunday morning. His actions prompted the NBA to conduct an investigation. “We are aware of a social media post involving Ja Morant and are investigating,” said Mike Bass. However, so far there has not been an arrest for the point guard. However, it has left the fans concerned, which could see him being suspended indefinitely.

Morant issued a personal apology for his actions. “I take full responsibility, for my actions last night. I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis, and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being,” said Morant.
Despite rumors of his arrest being circulated, Morant has not been arrested by the police. Carrying a firearm into a nightclub is punishable by a simple fine.
