3 games into the 2022 NBA finals and we are seeing an upset unfold. The Boston Celtics lead against the Golden State Warriors 2-1 despite not having home-court advantage this series. Even though the Warriors tower over the Celtics in experience they seem to be lacking the willpower to win. Draymond Green was the reason they lost in game 3 and people are pointing to his podcast as the reason why.
The Draymond Green show first began 6 months ago on YouTube and used to garner a couple of thousand views per episode. Almost 40 videos later they now get hundreds of thousands of views in no time. This has been his way to say his uninterrupted piece in the comfort of his home and with no pressure.
Draymond Green is not giving up podcasting
We’ve seen Draymond Green be a sound guy with great basketball IQ during his short stints with Inside the NBA. Draymond is also passionate and foolish on the court which could easily cost the Warriors wins on the biggest stage. As a starter, Green is not even averaging double-digit in points per game in the NBA playoffs. But because the Warriors were winning this was swept under the rug.
Now, with an NBA title on the line, they are not letting anything slip through the cracks. Fans and media alike do not enjoy seeing Draymond do better in his video than on the court, a fair criticism to have. However, they cannot fathom the fact that both things can go on simultaneously without harming each other.
Look like Draymond was more prepped for his post game podcast than the actual game. Just an observation, never mind me tho. Carry on…

Former Boston Celtic Kendrick Perkins got in on it too. The voices became really loud for Green to ignore and therefore he addressed them, ironically, on his podcast.
“You’re of the masses that Draymond shouldn’t be doing a podcast during the NBA finals…Nonetheless, this whole narrative of ‘Draymond is focused on podcasting’. Blah, Blah, Blah. Listen, you all going to get this podcast, like I told y’all…This podcast ain’t going nowhere…It baffles me, it’s so funny when I hear people like ‘Oh he shouldn’t be podcasting’, so what should I be doing when I get to my room?”
The Draymond Green show is here to stay and it will continue to be the great way that we get into the mind of the vocal leader of a dynasty.
