Dwight Howard is arguably one of the best centers the game of basketball has ever seen. His stint in the NBA was nothing short of impressive as he became an instant hit among fans. The former NBA player played alongside legends such as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Howard is known as a very outgoing person who loves to joke around. This is what made him so lovable.
A video recently surfaced on the internet of him calling on several NBA stars that were kicked out of the playoffs recently. Dwight Howard called out Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton of the Phoenix Suns as they were probably the top title contenders this season. He also called out Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, Ben Simmons, and Julius Randle as well.

When it came to one specific player, he wasn’t afraid to throw some shade. He also mentioned James Harden as trade rumors have resurfaced. “They talkin about him going back to Houston but I think this might be a better look,” said Howard. James could potentially return to the Houston Rockets or reunite with Durant in Phoenix. Dwight’s dig at the stars as they were the top picks to win the title just over a week ago.
Dwight Howard quit the NBA to play overseas at Taiwan
When things do not work out in the NBA, players often fly overseas to compete and earn money. This was the case for Dwight Howard. After a legendary 18-year career with the NBA, he signed with the T1 League’s Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan. He had an exceptional run during his first season averaging over 25 points per game. He also became a great shooter as well, which was surprising in his case.
Before shipping himself abroad, Howard played with a few prestigious franchises in the NBA. He was drafted No.1 overall by the Orlando Magic in 2004 and averaged a career total of 15.7 points and 11.8 rebounds. Dwight played for the Rockets with Harden, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, and Philadelphia 76ers. He had three separate stints with the Lakers and he played his last season with them.
He joined the T1 League back in November 2022. Dwight claims that he is happy with his decision as well. Howard is still hopeful to find his way back into the NBA someday. He believes that the league will be happy with the work and effort he puts into his craft.
