The Milwaukee Bucks are the hottest team in the NBA right now, with Giannis Antetokounmpo performing at his best. The Bucks after the win against the Chicago Bulls now have a 12-game winning streak. However, the Bucks have been dealt a major blow last night after Giannis picked up an injury. With the NBA All-Star game just 3 days away, it has raised major concerns for the Eastern Conference captain.
Giannis played just 9 minutes against the Bulls before he was forced to make his way to the locker room. During his time on the court, he managed to score 2 points, seven rebounds, and 3 assists. The Greek Freak landed awkwardly after he attempted to block Coby White. Moments later he was spotted holding his right wrist and could be seen in pain, and eventually made his way to the locker room.

The Milwaukee Bucks ruled out Giannis for the remainder of the game. Coach Mike Budenholzer said the team will be evaluating the injury suffered by Giannis. “We’re hopeful, the X-ray was clean,” said Budenholzer after the win. “He’s got a sprain. We’ll just, I think, see how he feels tomorrow, see how he feels the next few days, and continue to evaluate it.” Budenholzer was asked if Giannis would make it for the All-Star game, “I have no idea.” Said Budenholzer.

Giannis got injured in the 2nd quarter of the game with almost 11 minutes remaining on the clock. The Bulls guard Coby White drove to the basket, with Giannis following him to make a block. White after attempting a layup fell on the ground, due to which Giannis’ legs got caught up with White’s. Giannis reached out to the stanchion to soften his landing, however, his wrist got caught in an awkward position.

Giannis could be seen on the floor holding his right wrist in distress. He made his way to the locker room shortly after. It is a huge blow for the Bucks who are in scintillating form and have a 12-game win streak. It is unclear for how long Giannis be sidelined due to his injury last night. The Bucks may be better suited as their next game comes 8 days later against the Miami Heat. However, it may cause serious concerns for Giannis to miss this season’s All-Star game.
