NBA fans are presuming that Bronny James has more respect and admiration for Michael Jordan in comparison to his own father LeBron James. As we all know, Bronny is the eldest son of the King and is expected to declare for the NBA draft within a year or two at the most.
While he was initially scrutinized for the hype that surrounded him, Bronny has worked on his game and is developing into a talented young basketball player. As a result, he was given the opportunity and is expected to participate in the 2023 McDonald’s All-American Game.

All of that is well and good. However, Bronny’s latest decision has fans wondering whether Michael Jordan himself would be proud and flattered. Let us take a closer look at what this decision is and how basketball fans are reacting to this latest news.
Fans opine Bronny James is showing respect to Michael Jordan with his jersey number
As we all know, Michael Jordan is still considered by many to be the greatest player ever in the history of the NBA. The only player we claim is close to him in terms of accomplishment is LeBron James. During his peak, Jordan was revered and admired to a great extent. In fact, several players across the league wear #23 out of the desire to replicate Jordan’s greatness.
Even LeBron wore #23 when he entered the league. However, he soon switched it to #6 when playing for the Miami Heat and wears that number even today. When LeBron was a high school player, he was selected to participate in the McDonald’s All-American game. At the time, he wore the number #32.
While Bronny is certainly entitled to his own choice, fans are wondering whether he is choosing Michael Jordan over his own father by deciding to wear #23 for the 2023 McDonald’s All-American Game, “Honoring MJ as the goat, I’m starting to like Bronny… much more than LeStatpad might I add”, “Wow. He really wanna be MJ so bad” and “He knows mj better than his dad” are some of the comments being made on social media.

It is undoubtedly possible that these fans are somewhat accurate in their presumptions. However, others have pointed out that this could be nothing more than a mere coincidence considering that Bronny could just be representing the year he is playing in. Which happens to be 2023.
I think it just says 23 cuz that’s his graduating year brother.

In any case, his decision has garnered the attention of many basketball fans across the world. Hopefully, Bronny is able to live up to the expectations he is inadvertently setting for himself.
