“He Talks a Lot for a Role Player” – Dillon Brooks Gets Scorched Once Again After Latest Comments on Kyrie Irving

NBA fans have witnessed the worst of tussles between players over the years. Many have gotten into verbal arguments on the court as well. Although many are against it, some claim that this increases competitiveness and improves the spirit of the game. This has certainly been the case with Memphis Grizzlies star Dillon Brooks.

Brooks manages to land his name in the headlines one way or another. A while ago, he hit Donovan Mitchell in the groin area which led to a huge fight between the two. The players were even suspended because of this. That’s not the only altercation Brooks has had with an opponent. NBA fans are aware of his ongoing rivalry with the Golden State Warriors.

Recently, Draymond Green hit back and said the Grizzlies have not won anything to be considered rivals. He also blasted Dillon and called him an “idiot.” Brooks hit back quickly and said that he was a better player than Green. This was not all, Brooks has come under fire once again after having a go at Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving.

As per Tim MacMahon, Brooks said, “Dillon Brooks hopes Kyrie Irving (foot/personal reasons) plays tonight: “Now I can get him by myself today, so I want to see what he’s all about. He had a couple of words for me in Brooklyn, so I can’t wait to pick him up full every time and see him get exhausted.”

It has not been revealed what Kyrie said to Brooks. But sources claim that he said something along the lines of “It’s on.”

This comes as a surprise considering Kyrie is one of the greatest players in the NBA to date. It certainly looks like Brooks does not recognize the greatness of the former NBA champ, and wishes to challenge him when they play against each other. Kai is day-to-day to face the Grizzlies but he took part in the shootaround recently.

Another fan tweeted, “Dillon Brooks really wants to be a basketball villain. Think he’s also learned that’s just going to give him more clout.”
