We could see Kyrie playing for his new team as early as February 8, against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Mavericks have been looking to sign Trae Young, and reunite him with Luka Doncic. However, that plan went unexplored by the Mavs, and have themselves an 8x NBA All-Star. With Kyrie Irving on their roster, the Mavs have gambled with him after recent controversies. Kyrie is one of the most controversial players in the NBA after numerous incidents.

This news of Kyrie Irving joining the Mavericks has affected Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James. King James wished to reunite with his former teammate, however, the Lakers’ front office was beaten. LeBron posted a cryptic tweet on his official Twitter account, “Maybe It’s Me.” Nonetheless, King James is not fazed by what’s happened and is focused on the Lakers for the remainder of the season.
How much will Kyrie Irving earn from the Dallas Mavericks?
Kyrie Irving spent almost 3 seasons with the Nets. During his time with the Nets, Kyrie bagged almost $98.8 million, in his 3 seasons, as yearly cash. With half of the season played for the Nets, he is remunerated $13 million. This takes his total earnings from the Nets to $111 million. If he stayed with the Nets this season, he would have received another $26 million. However, Kyrie will now be remunerated by the Dallas-based franchise.

The exact figures are yet unknown for Kyrie. However, according to Doyle Rader of Forbes, the Mavericks could offer Kyrie a 2-year contract worth $86.24 million for 2 years. This figure is well below his market value. Kyrie becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, hence at max, the Mavs can offer his a 4-year deal worth $210 million. If he decides to renew his contract with the Mavs he will be eligible for a 5-year deal worth $272 million. However, talks for an extension will be held off until the summer.
