Rappers Rick Ross and Meek Mill have been recognized as one of the best dynamic duos. However, they are going to honor yet another outstanding duo, this time from the basketball community. The two will reunite yet again for a new grandiose single, “Shaq & Kobe,” honoring the NBA Basketball Hall Of Fame inductees Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant.
Meek posted the official cover photo for the next song on his official X (previously Twitter) page. He continued by informing the audience about the song’s sources of inspiration.
“Kobe [Bryant] and Shaq [O’Neal]. R.I.P. to the G.O.A.T., legend, and father! I learned my motivation and ambition from you, I ain’t have a dad. I was going off y’all. Thank you. Friday [September 29],” wrote Meek. (h/t via Uproxx)

In 2021, Vanessa, the deceased athlete’s widow, called Meek out for composing what she perceived as offensive music, which caused Meek to lose his respect for Bryant.
Meek referred to Bryant’s tragic helicopter accident when he says, “And if I ever lack I’m going out with my chopper, it be another Kobe,” on an unreleased tune with fellow rapper Lil Baby.
Since Meek subsequently stated regret to the Bryant family, it is plausible to believe that this song will remain respectful.
Shaquille O’Neal blended up Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock” and “Dreams & Nightmares” by Meek Mill
During the latest concert in Philadelphia, Shaquille O’Neal spliced the tracks “Dreams & Nightmares” by Meek Mill and “Just Wanna Rock” by Lil Uzi Vert. After a widespread argument about whether Uzi’s music usurped the place of Meek’s as the anthem for the city of Philadelphia, the two songs were combined.
The Phillies were playing the Nationals at Citizens Bank Park, and DJ Diesel was entertaining the audience. When posting a video of the performance on TikTok, Shaq tagged both artists and wrote: “When in Philly..”
However, DJ Diesel first sparked the debate involving “Dreams and Nightmares” and “Just Wanna Rock”. During their NFC Championship match versus the San Francisco 49ers, the Philadelphia Eagles had already entered the field to Uzi’s music.
“I think it’s fair to say that ‘Just Wanna Rock’ has replaced- with all due respect – ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ as the new anthem of Philadelphia, as the new anthem of the Philadelphia Eagles this year,” Drama told TMZ. “I’m looking forward to hearing that song many, many times [throughout] Super Bowl weekend.”
When asked which track best represents Philadelphia, Uzi said that they favor Meek’s “Dreams and Nightmares” despite the dichotomy.
