Steve Kerr Has Strong Opinions About Kevin Durant’s Skills
The NBA stars in the league right now are always being compared to former legends. There have been comparisons between the greats like Michael Jordan and LeBron James. However after watching the Nets playoff run this season, a new comparison starting to make the rounds in the NBA.
People began comparing Kevin Durant and Michael Jordan. Steve Kerr, the coach of the Golden State Warriors has worked with Kevin Durant for years. He had a say about the comparison and some fans thought it was right while others did not.
Coach Kerr believes that Kevin Durant is more gifted than Michael Jordan when it comes to skills and game. He also gave a reasonable justification for his opinion. Coach Kerr said,
He just showed he’s the most talented basketball player on earth, if not of all-time. Honestly. He’s just so gifted. I loved coaching him, and I’m looking forward to doing so again. I know, I know. And I think he’s (Durant) more gifted, I really do. And that’s saying something, but Kevin is a different, an entirely different breed. I mean, 6-(foot)-11 with guard skills, unlimited 3-point range, passing, shot-blocking at the rim. It’s just stunning

Steve Kerr did not say that Kevin Durant is the GOAT. However, it is safe to agree that KD is gifted and is on another level in his career right now. Having a beat like Kevin on your team is a blessing and having him as an opponent is a nightmare. Kevin Durant will be seen in action next at the Tokyo Olympics representing Team USA. KD finished the playoffs with an incredible average of 34.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
