Giannis Antetokounmpo gave a heartwarming answer on if his son asks him to retire. He said If my son asks me, Dad, when are you going to retire from basketball and play more with me, I’d probably retire now”.
The 2 times MVP has been one of the best players in the league for the past couple of years. The one thing that was missing from his resume at such an early age was Championship. He has overcome that and became the NBA champion and Finals MVP of the 2020-21 season.
If we look at his accolades, if he retires right now, he will still be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. At just the age of 27 years, he has accomplished a whole career worth of individual and team accolades.

First and foremost he is an NBA champion and a one-time Finals MVP winner. He won back-to-back MVPs in the years 2019 and 2020. Giannis Antetokounmp has seen it all as he has even won the Most Improved player in 2017.
He is also the only player after Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon to win the MVP and Defensive Player of the year in the same season. With 4 all-NBA defensive selections and 5 All-NBA selections alongside 5 All-Star selections and an All-MVP, his career is full of accomplishments.
Will Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks win back-to-back championships?
Despite being the former NBA champs, the Bucks are right now at 4th seed which is because early on in the season Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and Giannis missed time due to injury. Even then they are one of the major contenders for winning the championship.
However, they are now back and will continue to take the league by storm. Both Middleton and Jrue Holiday are averaging 19 points and 18 points per game on roughly 38% shooting from the arc and provide an elite defense.
Giannis again is one of the forefront runners for the MVP. He has the 3rd highest scoring average in the league i.e 28.4 points per game. He averages 11 rebounds which is ranked 6th in the league. His PER is also off the charts as he is just behind the leader PER of Nikola Jokic with a Player Efficiency Rate of 31.73.
They have the 5th best defense in the league. All these accumulate to one and one thing only Championship. The Bucks are the team to beat in the East as they are the reigning Eastern Conference Champions and also the NBA championships.
