LeBron James has become a synonym with the need for teaming up with other stars to be successful. Some names on that list include the likes of Anthony Davis, Dwayne Wade, and Kyrie Irving, among others. With the Lakers’ lack of success this season, it’s clear that the fit of Westbrook with LeBron has been disastrous. GM LeBron James however has begun recruiting for next season already.
In a snippet of the upcoming episode of ‘The Shop’, LeBron James revealed something rather conversational-worthy. He answered the question of one player he wished he could play with.

LeBron James has always been more involved in a franchise than just a player. He has been the punch line to jokes that address him as the GM of the teams he plays on. His most well-known tactic of gaining the attention of a potential teammate is complimenting them on the biggest stages.
“Steph Curry’s the one that I wanna play with for sure, in today’s game,” said LeBron.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry have been direct rivals for the better half of the last decade. They gave us some of the most competitive finals appearances we have ever seen. However, Stephen Curry has seemed to be the guy that players are attracted to play with but he isn’t one to run after others.
Hence, Stephen Curry’s response to LeBron came as no surprise to anyone. Stephen Curry heard LeBron’s voice snippet live on the podcast and what came out was his genuine reaction.
“I’m good right now,” said Curry in response to the King.
Stephen Curry has always been a one-team player. He’s stayed with the Warriors even when they have been awful.
LeBron James has always hinted at players he wishes could play with him like Damian Lillard and Kawhi Leonard. However, with Stephen Curry that does not seem to be the case.
It is unlikely that the Lakers would be able to offload the huge and unappealing contract of Russell Westbrook. Hence, if LeBron did want to play with one of the best point guards of all time, he would have to do that by forcing a trade to Golden State.
