The Lakers are currently 9th seed in the West with a 25-28 record. As if the terrible performances weren’t enough, Lakers fans have something more serious to worry about. LeBron James has skipped games due to an injury in his knee. King James is currently averaging 29.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game.
LeBron James might miss the match-up against New York Knicks
LeBron James was fresh from a win against the Brooklyn Nets. However 48 hours after the game, LeBron complained of soreness in his left knee. He did turn into practice the night against Philly but was ruled out after the swelling in the knee got too much. This repeated for four straight games.

The Los Angeles Lakers and James are doing everything they can to help the swelling in the knee reduce. Sources have mentioned that LeBron has decided that he will not play unless the swelling has completely reduced. This is a good move by the Lakers and him. LeBron is almost 39 and it is important for him to recover 100% before stepping on a court.
According to sources, LeBron James has also refused to use Platelet-rich plasma therapy. This therapy is used by another team in the NBA, Dallas Mavericks. It helps stimulate and assist healing. According to Tim MacMahon from ESPN, LeBron has said a stern no to the idea.
