James Harden‘s growing frustration with the Brooklyn Nets, especially Kyrie Irving led to the most surprise trade before the deadline. He has been the talk of the town this past week has pulled off two trades in just over a year. James Harden forced his way out of Houston Rockets earlier last year.
He joined Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and hence started the Brooklyn Nets ‘scary hours’ narrative. They only played 16 games together due to injuries and personal reasons. Experiencing their longest losing streak in over two seasons, The Beard wanted out. He made his wishes to join the Philadelphia 76ers very clear to the Nets.
As they predicted that he will eventually leave them this offseason in free agency, Nets decided to trade him for Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and draft compensation.
James Harden set to miss All-star game due to hamstring injury
James Harden has been riddled with hamstring injuries for a long time now. Many believe that the Milwaukee Bucks won last season only because Harden was playing on one leg. His numbers have deteriorated this season beyond measure. Although there were slight glimpses of Rockets Harden in December, he couldn’t maintain it consistently.
He reaggravated the hamstring this season and missed 4 games with the Brooklyn Nets before the trade. He is yet to make the Sixers debut as well. Philly is being cautious with their new superstar and giving him enough time to heal.

James Harden is an all-star reserve this season but won’t be suiting up this weekend for the game. Jarrett Allen will be replacing him on team Durant. Both KD and LBJ were reluctant to pick the 3x scoring champion in the draft. While Durant’s hesitation is understandable, LeBron only did it to troll the former.
In all likelihood, Harden will play alongside Embiid soon after the all-star game as he was seen practicing with the Philly MVP.
