Stephen Curry continues to be the most feared basketball star on the planet. There have been several moments in the past when Curry made his opponents regret talking smack or challenge him. Last season was a testament to that, as the entire world doubted his leadership capabilities. Ultimately, he had the last laugh and held on tight to his fourth title in eight seasons.
This year, he plans to make yet another run for the title. Though they had a shaky start to the season, the Golden State Warriors look all set for their upcoming bout against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors took the Sacramento Kings to Game 7 and closed out the series in an impressive manner. Stephen Curry played a huge part in this victory.
An interesting point to note is that the shoes Curry wore in Game 7 were inspired by his Met Gala outfit back in 2021. Joined by his wife, Ayesha Curry, the Chef enjoyed a night of fancy dressing and fun around other celebrities. He wore a black suit with a gold and silver embroidered pattern on his left arm. Ayesha had a similar style going on except that her dress was entirely gold and silver.

Moreover, his black suit is said to be inspired by the legendary Michael Jackson, as the GSW star revealed in his Instagram post a while ago. The image that Steph posted was when Michael Jackson donned the suit in the ‘We Are The World’ music video.
Stephen Curry dropped a massive 50-piece to upset the Sacramento Kings in Game 7
The Sacramento Kings had high hopes of defeating the defending champions in Game 7, however, Stephen Curry had other plans. He scored 50 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists on 20-38 shooting. Steph recorded the most points in NBA history during Game 7 of a series. He was an absolute monster from the field and drilled 7 three-pointers.
Once again, the Warriors managed to step up just at the right time. Kevin Looney had 11 points and 21 rebounds. He played a vital role defensively as well. Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins had a combined total of 33 points as well. Now, the Warriors will face the Lakers in the Western Conference Semi-finals. LeBron James and Stephen Curry will be meeting for the first time since 2017.
Both players have a long history of playoff battles. They had four finals appearances against each of which Curry has the better record. This series will be a very nostalgic one for the fans. Even Draymond Green believed the matchup is going to be “epic” as well.
