Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has had what is probably the most decorated career in NBA history. This man has done it all and seen it all. He is currently the NBA’s all-time leading scorer with 38,387 points scored throughout his career. That’s not even the best part, what’s ridiculous is that he did all of this while only making one 3-pointer throughout his entire career.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar:
“I am still the all-time leading scorer in the NBA and I only made one three-point shot.”

Kareem also holds the record for the most all-star appearances in NBA history with 19 appearances. He was in the league for 20 years and he was an all-star for 19 of them. And if you think that’s insane then wait till you hear this; KAJ won the MVP award 6 times throughout his career. That’s more than anyone else in NBA history, even Michael Jordan and LeBron James; arguably the best players of all time only have 5 and 4 each.
Recently, Kareem was interviewed by Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show. During this interview, he was asked about his only career three-pointer. He went on to share a hilarious story about it.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made his only career three-pointer on accident
“It was an accident, you know I ran out to the corner to get a rebound, and I was out there all alone. They didn’t wanna come to guard me. I turned around and made the 3-point shot”. This is how KAJ remembers the only time he made a 3-point shot in his career. And in a hilarious turn of events, he went on to say that he only needs 2099 more to catch Stephen Curry.
He may seem funny now, but back in the day during his college career, he was so scary, that the NCAA banned dunking in college games because of him. Also, Kareem only lost 2 games during his college career, he won 88.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar College Stats :
– 88-2 record.
– 3x NCAA Champion.
– 3x Player of the Year.
– NCAA BANNED dunking cause teams was scared of him.Michael Jordan is a GOAT, just not the GOAT of College Basketball. 🤷🏾♀️

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a force on the court. If it wasn’t for Kareem and Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain would have had a lot of rings.
You have to realize just how special a player has to be in order to score 38,387 points on only one 3-pointer. A lot of people dismiss his case as the greatest of all time because of the era he played in. But, if he would’ve achieved all of this in a different era; then Kareem Abdul-Jabbar would have undoubtedly been the GOAT in everyone’s eyes.
