He had to go through a bad divorce with his then-wife, Shaunie O’Neal. Shaquille and Shaunie welcomed 6 kids during their turbulent relationship and marriage.
At the time, the reason for Shaquille‘s divorce was unknown. But recently, the former LA Lakers star came clean with why Shaunie decided to leave him. He admitted that he had been cheating on Shaunie. The divorce had a lasting impact on him as it also affected how he performed in court. Moreover, another major athlete is also going through something similar, someone whom Shaq is good friends with.

NFL’s finest, Tom Brady has been going through a tough time lately. He is currently dealing with a divorce from his wife Gisele Bundchen after marrying her in 2009. In addition to that, Brady is not having the greatest time on the field as well. He lost his 3rd consecutive game against the Baltimore Ravens today. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers currently have a record of 3-5. This is the first time Brady has gone below .500 in his career.
Shaquille O’Neal believes Tom Brady’s ‘real-life’ stuff is the reason for the dip in his form
Many have wondered what has happened to Brady and Shaq seems to have figured out the reason. On the Big Podcast with Shaq, his co-host, Nischelle Turner Shaq if Brady had made a bad decision to stay in the NFL for one more year. Shaq replied, “The answer to that is no. During the 2006 finals, I was going through a divorce and I couldn’t do anything right.”
O’Neal reveals that he can relate to the Buccs star mainly because he was in his shoes before. He mentions that a divorce will cause a person to be lonely in the house that they have built for their family. As we all know, a split or a divorce can cause a person to not be able to function properly, even when they have been doing so for decades. It seems like that is the case with Brady, according to Shaq.

Shaq spoke on the matter just a day before Tom and Gisele officially announced their divorce. But hoping that things take a turn, he wished Brady well and hoped that things get better for the pair. Brady will be looking back to get back to form. The 45-year-old will be aiming for one last shot at the championship before ending what might be his last year in the NFL.
