Fans claim that the Los Angeles Lakers are still secretly interested in Kyrie Irving
Despite being in Year 20, LeBron James is still considered the face of the league and his voice holds incredible weight. In fact, some argue that King James‘ opinion is taken into consideration by the upper management and decision makers for whatever team he is playing for. As a result, the 4x NBA champion has been called LeGM by many people over the years.
LeBron won the 2016 NBA title alongside Kyrie. However, they soon fell apart and Irving left the Cavs and took his talents to the Boston Celtics at the time. At the time, it was rumored that there was a lot of disagreement and bad blood between them. Be that as it may, both of them have appeared to patch things up. Moreover, Kyrie even admitted that leaving LeBron was a bad move that he shouldn’t have made too hastily.
Since all of that was happening around the time that the Lakers were looking for a new point guard, many fans wanted Irving to become a Laker and reunite with his old teammate. Now reports have emerged that the Lakers are no longer interested in and will not be pursuing Kyrie.

Although some fans who dislike Irving are happy with this development, several claim that this might be a move by the Lakers to make others teams bidding for Kyrie to assume that they are out of the running for him, “It’s over for the league.”
