Unlike the last two months, the James Harden trade has received a lot more attention over the past few weeks. Things were fairly quiet within the Philadelphia 76ers organization and there wasn’t any movement regarding the trade. However, based on how the 10x All-Star has been behaving, it doesn’t seem like the Sixers have a future with him in it. Harden is also focused on getting himself out of Philly.
For context, the former MVP’s frustrations stemmed from the Sixers‘ inability to offer him a hefty contract. General Manager Daryl Morey promised Harden that he would get traded as soon as he signed his $35.6 million player option. The Sixers did as much as they could after Harden expressed his interest to play for the LA Clippers. Over the summer, both teams engaged in trade talks, however, the Clippers were not successful in offering the Sixers what they wanted.

Things got out of hand after James Harden publicly slammed Morey. He called the executive a liar and stated that he would never work in an organization run by Morey. Based on the last statement, the NBA fined him $100,000 for refusing to exercise his contractual duties. But he also informed the league that Morey failed to keep up to his word.
James Harden plans on making things uncomfortable for the Sixers during training camp
A few days ago, the Sixers’ media day took place, and most of the team’s representatives and players were present. However, James Harden was nowhere to be found. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that the All-Star wasn’t in Philadelphia as he awaited to be traded. The initial scenario with the Sixers was that they were planning to bring him into training camp. On the other hand, Harden has no intention to participate in training camp with them.
Recently, NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the guard has changed his mind regarding training. James will report to training camp but with different intentions. He said, “James Harden wants a trade. He wants to make the 76ers uncomfortable. So uncomfortable, ultimately, they don’t think they’ll get the best out of him and make a trade.”

It was also reported that James Harden will not be traveling with his team to Colorado State University for training camp. Harden plans on getting there by himself to make things uncomfortable. He wishes to completely isolate himself from the organization which will ultimately leave them with no choice but to let him go.
