Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has been sidelined for a while now due to injury. As NBA fans must be aware, Brown, Tatum, and the Celtics are on a revenge season and are playing excellent basketball. Boston sits atop the Eastern Conference with a record of 31 wins and 12 losses.
While they are on a 5 game winning streak and very well-positioned for the NBA postseason, we should still remember that there is half a season of basketball left to play. Jaylen Brown, who is the clear-cut second-best player on the team, behind Jayson Tatum, has been sidelined due to an adductor strain. Fans must certainly want to know more about his diagnosis and when he is expected to make a return to the court for his team.
Jaylen Brown is expected to miss around 2 weeks for the Boston Celtics due to a right adductor injury
Unfortunately for Celtics fans, it appears that they will be shorthanded for the next few weeks without their second-best player. According to the injury reports, Brown has been diagnosed with a right adductor injury and might miss at least a week or two.
To those who do not know, an adductor injury refers to a muscle strain on the inside of the thigh near the groin area. This is one of the most susceptible spots to be injured for professional NBA athletes. After all, these muscles undergo constant and high levels of pressure throughout the season. Therefore, resting him and making sure he is at full strength would be the wise thing to do.

Celtics coach Joe Mazulla released a statement and discussed Jaylen Brown’s condition. He did not share a clear-cut picture of his star’s return. Thankfully, he did not make the injury and rehabilitation process sound too severe. This is good news for Boston Celtics fans, who remember how integral Brown was to their NBA Finals run last year.
“I’m not sure what the timeline is…I know he tried to give it a go today and wasn’t able to do it. We’ll know more the next couple days, see how he responds.”

If it is only a couple of days, the Celtics could certainly continue maintaining their position in the conference without Brown. After all, they will be facing the Charlotte Hornets in back-to-back matches. These should certainly be winnable with the remaining players on the roster.
However, the matches after that against the Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, and Miami Heat could prove to be a little more of a challenge. We hope to see Jaylen Brown healthy and on the court by the time those games come around the corner.
