Michael Jordan has always been debated as the greatest of all time. No matter who you compared him to, Mike will always come out victorious. However, LeBron James has been a very close threat to Jordan’s legacy as the NBA’s GOAT. Popularly known as “The King,” has been dominating the league for the last 20 years surpassing Jordan and other legends in various aspects.
While the Chicago Bulls legend already has a few advantages over LeBron, President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White has another one to add to the list. White launched a new promotion called Power Slap. This promotion has taken the world of combat sports by storm and is gaining a lot of attention as well. White was recently interviewed by Barstool Sports and given a few Power Slap fight scenarios.
While being tasked to choose between Michael Jordan and LeBron James, Dana had to go with the 90s GOAT. He said, “Listen, I respect LeBron and what he has done and who he is as an athlete. Never in trouble. Always there for the games. Makes a big difference when he’s on a team. You feel the difference when he’s on a team. But Jordan is my all-time. And I’m a Celtics guy, but Jordan is a f**ing killer. Jordan is a killer.”
White seems pretty confident in his answer which shows how dominant Jordan was during his time. But there are a few other motives that can be taken from Dana’s choice.
Does Michael Jordan have the biggest hands in NBA history?
White’s answer could have also been influenced by the size of Michael Jordan’s hands. This interesting physical feature helped the Hall of Famer achieve consistency while being recognized as the best true shooter in the NBA during the 90s. Mike’s hands aren’t even the biggest the league has ever seen before. In an interview, Mike once revealed why he believes his hands were a blessing to his form.
The 6x NBA Champion explained that the gap between his thumb and index finger helped him grip the ball better. He used Julius Erving as an example, who used to throw down gravity-defying dunks utilized his hand size for it. MJ also explains how he knew when he had a bad shot. He said, if the ball released from his thumb, index, and middle fingers, it was a good shot. But if it were to release from his ring and little finger, it was a bad shot.

Jordan certainly had one of the biggest hands ever. His hands were measured at 9.5/11.75 inches, the eighth largest hand recorded in the league. Julius Erving is ranked just above Jordan. Boban Marjanvonic holds the record for the biggest hands measured at 10.75/12 inches.
