The Las Vegas power couple Darren Waller and Kelsey Plum officially tied the knot on March 4, 2023. However, there is an ongoing dispute between Waller’s wife, Kelsey, and his former head coach Josh McDaniels. The Las Vegas Raiders traded Waller to the New York Giants for a third-round pick. This sudden move is all pointed to McDaniels, who is upset about not being invited to the tight end’s wedding.
Waller has been with the Raiders since 2018 after he was signed by the Baltimore Ravens. The Raiders acquired one of the best tight ends in the NFL. Since joining the Raiders he has established himself as a key member of the team. However, the trade makes no sense for anyone, as we enter the 2nd day of the NFL free agency in 2023.

This wasn’t taken lightly by Kelsey, who has been married for 11 days. Robert Griffin III posted a tweet after Waller was traded to the Giants. “Darren Waller JUST GOT MARRIED to Kelsey Plum of the Las Vegas Aces and Josh McDaniels’ wedding present was to trade him to the New York Giants. McDaniels is NOT a romantic,” stated Griffin.
Plum took to Twitter to take shots at the Raiders’ head coach, McDaniels. “Prolly cause he wasn’t invited to the wedding lol,” wrote Plum, while responding to Robert. Kelsey and Darren got married in a private ceremony in Las Vegas. However, McDaniels is the one behind leaking the marriage pictures from their wedding.
Waller was upset with McDaniels when the Las Vegas Review-Journal posted a story announcing the wedding was scheduled later in the week. The couple had not publicly announced their plans to get married.
