Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant has been at the receiving end of the worst of social media ever since his decision to sign with the Golden State Warriors in 2016. Recently he engaged with a lot of fans/trolls on Twitter about the Brooklyn Nets signing LaMarcus Aldridge. He did not hold back in defending his team and called out several people who didn’t like the move.
I see u took all this personally lmao

LeBron James was in a similar situation 10 years ago when he chose to sign with Miami Heat and quite possibly gave way to the first-ever super team with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. He received severe backlash from fans on the internet. However, he was wise enough never to respond to it and eventually grew a thick skin. Kevin Durant, on the other hand, is known for creating burner accounts to fight with the trolls online.
Someone on Twitter accused him of ruining the NBA by joining Golden State Warriors in 2016 and now creating a super team with Brooklyn Nets once again this season. Kevin Durant engaged extensively in that conversation last night and gave befitting replies to anyone who tried to attack him or the Brooklyn Nets.

Kevin Durant Blocked a fan who asked for a signed Jersey
The Brooklyn Nets have been making big moves throughout the season. In January they acquired James Harden in a blockbuster trade. They had a few ups and downs when Kyrie left without notice and Kevin Durant got injured. But James Harden carried the Nets in March almost single-handedly while having possibly the best season so far in his career. Nets climbed up to the second seed in the eastern conference but that wasn’t apparently satisfactory.
You’re washed page

They went on to acquire Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge which enraged NBA fans even though both players are washed up at this point. A troll went on to say that the Nets should add Michael Jordan to the last roster spot left. Many accused him of not being able to lead a team to a championship which seems to hit right where it’s hurting KD. He left the Warriors to win a ring by himself but ended up on another super team by no fault of his own.

One fan, however, tried to tell KD not to engage with these trolls and asked for a signed jersey for his real fans. Kevin Durant blocked him and when he was called out for doing so, he replied with a video that says ‘don’t tell me what to do’.
In any case, Durant needs to grow a thick skin if he wants to play with the best players. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
