Kevin Durant is perhaps, one of the most talked-about athletes in the world of basketball. Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless are two NBA analysts fascinated by KD. They have made bold proclamations of his greatness in the past. Both analysts parted ways back in 2016 when Skip finally decided to leave ESPN and start his own show.
The friction between the two seemed to rise in recent times. Moreover, when they finally “buried the hatchet“, KD was quick to respond to this news in a seemingly positive manner on social media. One must wonder why KD is giving these people his time of the day. Moreover, they must also question whether the Brooklyn Nets star is genuine or sarcastic in his reaction.
Kevin Durant says he is “proud” of Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith
Skip and Stephen A seemed to reignite their conflict when Smith joined JJ Reddick on his podcast. He went on to explain in his own words, how he is the face of ESPN. Moreover, Stephen A went on to explain how Skip begged him to join ESPN back in 2012.
This clearly warranted a reaction from the proud Skip Bayless. He went off on a rant regarding this subject. This was done on his personal podcast\ Youtube channel, “The Skip Bayless Show“. His exact reaction was emotion-filled as he started the show by discussing what Stephen A Smith said. He began in quite a dramatic flair, as all media personalities tend to do.
“He has been more of a brother to me than my actual brother ever was to me, I love the man and no matter what happens I will always love the man, but brother do fight… and maybe we’re about to fight again… All I know for sure at this point in time is that Stephen A Smith made some statements on JJ Reddick’s podcast last week that flat out blindsided me, stung me to the core, ultimately made me angry and my wife Ernestine even angrier.”
Skip went on to dramatically explain how everything Stephen A said was biased and inaccurate. This led to both of them meeting and eventually sorting out this dispute. Moreover, this interaction must have been absolutely hilarious to KD. He chose to congratulate them on settling this beef.
Awww, I’m so proud of these men. https://t.co/0gPHJlt2hy

One must wonder whether Durant truly meant what he tweeted. Stephen A certainly thought he did and even chose to thank him for his “care“.
Thank you bro. Always special to know that you care so much! I’m touched 😀 https://t.co/QP8ewGqdnz

This is a classic case of KD mocking the people who have made their names criticizing the NBA superstar. Thankfully Stephen A didn’t notice the sarcasm in the tweet, or at least he pretended not to.
