The two were married for almost two decades before the unfortunate death of the NBA star in a helicopter crash in 2020. The very next date on November 28, 1999, the two went on their first date and visited Disneyland. Interestingly, Kobe has also revealed how he fell in love with Vanessa and said that she was just beautiful.
Furthermore, the Lakers star proposed to Vanessa merely six months after meeting her for the first time. The two got married on April 18, 2001, in a private ceremony. They welcomed four daughters, Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, and Capri. Unfortunately, Gigi died along with Kobe in the helicopter crash, whereas the other three daughters and Vanessa continue to take his legacy forward.
