He played for 13 seasons starting with the Portland Trail Blazers averaging 20.8 points in the third season. Traded next to the San Antonio Spurs for a season, his last franchise was the Los Angeles Lakers where he won 2 championships consecutively.
Following his retirement from NBA in 1991, he remained in the basketball industry. He is working as a radio color commentator for the Lakers on broadcast channels like KSPN and KLAC.
