Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, and the Golden State Warriors are off to a somewhat slow start this NBA season. They currently hold a record of 14 wins and 15 losses, placing them in the 10th seed of a competitive Western Conference.
Perhaps, the Warriors have a target on their back heading into this season. After all, they are the defending champions and every team will step up to play better against them. Unfortunately for Golden State Warriors fans, that might not be the only problem the team is currently facing.
Klay is the second splash bro and a world-class shooter and three-point specialist himself. However, he has suffered multiple severe injuries over the years. With that being said, we should want to know about his current status and when he is expected back on the court.
Klay Thompson is unlikely to play against the Philadelphia 76ers due to injury management
We all remember when Klay went down during Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. He further injured himself and underwent a serious rehabilitation and recovery process. Considering that he is not getting any younger at the age of 32, it would certainly make sense for the Warriors to rest him.
All this said, it is still possible for him to play in the game as the Warriors are currently on a two-game losing streak. They lost to both the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers. Klay did not play in the game against the Pacers. However, when playing against the Celtics, he put up 34 points to lead his team to victory.
