Klay Thompson hasn’t had a great time playing for the Golden State Warriors lately. Several fans have concluded that he is no longer a great fit for the team. This is based on the 5x All-Star’s recent performances and how they have impacted the Warriors’ record so far. Dub Nation needs to turn around quickly before it is too late and they miss out on the playoffs
Right now, the Warriors are slowly moving down the leaderboard of the Western Conference. They are 11th in the division, holding a record of 10 wins and 11 losses. When compared to their previous runs, GSW has always had incredible starts to their season. Fans are blaming Thompson for failing to the provide required support for the Warriors.
Klay really wants the max?? Seriously??????😂😂😂

Im sorry but Klay’s gotta go. He’s done with this team. He’s beyond washed. He is basically making himself a clown

Klay is just a legacy player at this point.. he’s getting a long rope because of what he did in the past. That doesnt help the team win now. Needs to change

One fan said, “I’m sorry but Klay’s gotta go. He’s done with this team. He’s beyond washed. He is basically making himself a clown.” Another fan said, “Klay is just a legacy player at this point.. he’s getting a long rope because of what he did in the past. That doesn’t help the team win now. Needs to change.” The Warriors most definitely need a change and they need it to happen quickly. But does it have to include Klay Thompson’s future?
Klay Thompson isn’t entirely responsible for the Warriors’ slow start
Klay Thompson used to be one of the Warriors’ most-priced possessions. He was one of the biggest reasons why the Warriors had a lethal offense. Thompson was responsible for creating deflections and taking a lot of pressure from Stephen Curry. But this season has seen an extremely demotivated side of him.
He is averaging 15.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. This is his worst season since his rookie year. Unfortunately, Thompson’s slump also extends to his shooting form as well. In the last 11 games, Thompson hasn’t shot more than 25 three-pointers.
But Klay isn’t entirely responsible for what has been going on lately. Ever since Kevin Durant left, the Warriors have been trying to keep the dynasty alive with other players. They attempted to do so when they acquired Andrew Wiggins. However, Wiggins hasn’t lived up to the hype lately. And this hasn’t helped the Warriors especially since Thompson is coming off multiple injuries and is aging.
Draymond Green has played his role consistently but the Warriors have made him too comfortable with being a facilitator and on-court voice. Green has seldom been a help offensively. The only player they are currently relying on is Curry. The veteran leader has averaged 29.2 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Besides these three, the entire squad is filled with newcomers and an aging Chris Paul.
