We can add another one to the list as recent reports about the company’s latest move in the NBA world have emerged. According to Sole Collector, Nike has plans to bring back the ‘Nike Kobe 8’ shoes. This was the signature line of the late Kobe Bryant, who is a legend to us all.
When is the Nike Kobe 8 Protro release date?
You may wonder about the meaning of the word ‘Protro’ and how it became the name of Kobe’s shoes. It is claimed that the man came up with it himself. Protro: high performance on a professional level in retro form. The LA Lakers legend joined the two words himself. Nike has collaborated with Kobe for 22 signature shoes. They have also released the Kobe 1, 4, 5, and 6 in Protro models.

For those who don’t know, the Kobe shoes that are Protro model come in a unique and special edition colorway that is produced in limited quantities as well. As for the Nike Kobe 8 Protro, the release date is expected to be in Fall 2023. The images of how these shoes will look have been leaked online, but we can’t be too sure of it as well.

The move from Nike comes after signing a new contract with Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant back in March. Vanessa also pointed out that all the proceeds from the sale of Kobe and Gianna’s Nike products will be contributed to the development of the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, which helps young athletes fulfill their goals.
