Kyrie Irving has been under fire for quite some time now, ever since he promoted an Amazon Prime film with some anti-semitic content. It has almost been a month since Kyrie was suspended for the same. Kyrie has the support of most of the players in the league but one player that has stood out has to be Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics.
Jaylen Brownβs comments on Kyrie/Joe Tsai postgame.
βOur society has more work to do including Joe Tsai, itβs 2022 it takes 10 minutes to look up who these business owners, corporations, etc are associated with, doing business, and who they are affiliated withβ pic.twitter.com/74MBb969ul

Ever since Kyrie’s suspension, Jaylen has used every opportunity that he has gotten to speak in favor of Kyrie. He has been targeting everyone, from the Nets owner Joe Tsai, who is the billionaire co-founder of the Alibaba group, to big corporations like Nike. Jaylen doesn’t like the entire situation in Brooklyn and has been using his voice to stand up against it.
What is the NBPA?
The NBPA or the National Basketball Players Association is a labor union that represents NBA players. President Chris Paul heads it along with Vice President Jaylen Brown. Every time NBA players are mistreated within the NBA, the NBPA is the one to bring up the issue and get it resolved.

From the actions of Jaylen Brown, it is clear that the NBPA is focused on getting Kyrie’s suspension lifted. He has even been taking shots at Nike who suspended their relationship with Kyrie after the situation was blown out of proportion. Many believe that Kyrie being suspended was taking it too far, instead, he should have been educated on the consequences of his actions.
When will Kyrie Irving return to the NBA court?
The NBPA will probably have to do something big to get Kyrie’s suspension lifted. Something like a league-wide protest has to be organized since a lot of powerful people have their hands behind the entire situation in Brooklyn. A lot of players are clearly in support of Kyrie as well, including players like LeBron and Stephen Curry.
Jaylen Brown: βI don’t believe Kyrie Irving is antisemitic,β
βThe terms for his return, they seem like a lot, and a lot of the players expressed discomfort with the terms. He made a mistake. He posted something. There was no distinction.β

Hopefully, the NBPA can work together and get Kyrie Irving’s suspension lifted. It has been a while since Kyrie has been on an NBA court and he is long overdue.
