There aren’t many to stand up for what’s wrong in the NBA. Players have used their platform for good to bring awareness to trivial issues going on around the world. An example of that would be when NBA stars like LeBron James and Stephen Curry decided to bring light to Brittney Griner’s controversial situation.
I don’t know Elon Musk and, tbh, I could care less who owns twitter. But I will say that if this is true, I hope he and his people take this very seriously because this is scary AF. So many damn unfit people saying hate speech is free speech. https://t.co/Sy0jvXIBnC

LeBron has done it once again and has publicly called for action to be taken on an extremely significant issue. Just a few hours ago, he tweeted, “I don’t know Elon Musk and, tbh, I could care less who owns twitter. But I will say that if this is true, I hope he and his people take this very seriously because this is scary AF. So many damn unfit people saying hate speech is free speech.”
LeBron James believes people promoting hate speech are ‘unfit’
For those who do not know why LeBron tweeted that, it was a reply to a report. For context, The Washington Post reported that the use of the “N-word” slurs increased by almost 500%. This happened in just a matter of hours after Elon Musk officially took over Twitter.
Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover sparked a surge in the use of the N-word on the social media platform.

LeBron has always believed that we should condemn racism seriously. He has been one of the biggest promoters of the Black Lives Matter movement. King James has decided to take a knee on multiple occasions and this isn’t any different.
In the current age and era we are living in, it is quite melancholic that racial discrimination still exists. There have been more eyes on the issue in recent times, but it is quite evident that it is still a thing to worry about. The LA Lakers star mentioned that if the report on the usage of the offensive word was true, Musk should take it very seriously regarding the decision he makes on the matter.
