LeBron James is a certified legend in the NBA. His name will be exalted for years to come following retirement. There are very few athletes who make the cut for the greatest of all time debate, but LBJ has set the bar quite high for the ones aiming to be his successors. But still, for many, there is an unsettled discussion going on.
The Los Angeles Lakers leader and former 4x league MVP has been playing through some of his best seasons lately. Last year he averaged a whopping 30.3 points along with 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. He almost cracked the MVP conversation but injuries are what cost him his fifth victory. Similarly this season, at the age of 38, LeBron James has been averaging an unfathomable 29.5 points per game on 50.1% shooting, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.
LeBron James buys an Eliantte Chain for becoming the all-time scoring leader
February 7th, 2023 was when LeBron James broke one of the league’s most sought-after records. For the last couple of seasons, fans were anticipating this moment, to witness LeBron James solidify his GOAT status. Even rival players were eager to watch him make history by passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the All-Time Scoring List for the most points ever.
Kareem’s record stood for almost four long decades. He had 38,387 points scored throughout his career. LeBron James’ longevity and health are two of the biggest reasons for his recent success. Having both intact, he manages to efficiently score big points on a nightly basis. Bron now has 38,450 points scored in the NBA. To acknowledge his own work, the King rewarded himself with an Eliantte Chain that called him the NBA’s Leading Scorer.

Fans had some mixed opinions on this matter. One of them said, “Nobody has ever looked for more attention than LeBron James. The only thing he’s the GOAT of is narcissism.” Here is what the others had to say as well.

Idc that he made the chain it looks nice. My only concern is didn’t he say he didn’t care about the record? I’m confused now 🤔

As great as he might be, LeBron has always gotten his fair share of criticism over anything and everything. But when it comes to the scoring record, he could very well be on pace to become the first player to achieve the 40,000-point milestone.
