LeBron James is one of the richest athletes in the world. He was most recently announced by Forbes as a billionaire. King James has always been looking to earn more through endorsements and contracts. But he’s not kept it all for himself and is planning to give it back to the state that helped him grow. The James Foundation is creating the ‘I Promise Headquarters’ that will bring Akron much-needed support.
In 2011, LeBron James began the ‘I Promise’ program where he supported over 1300 students with laptops and bicycles. This went on to radically reach new heights in 2018 when LeBron James created the ‘I Promise’ school. However, now in 2022, it has reached an even better standing with the ‘I Promise HealthQuarters’.
LeBron James’ ‘I Promise HealthQuarters’ reaches new heights
The LeBron James Family Foundation announced that they will be creating the ‘I Promise Healthquarters’ in 2023 for the community of Akron, Ohio. James was born in Akron and represented Cleveland for a majority of his career. This has been his way of giving back to the city that put him on the map.
The ‘I Promise HealthQuarters’ will include medical, dental, optometry, mental health, pharmaceuticals, lab services, and a lot more. The LeBron James family foundation is funding this multi-million dollar venture and this could continue LeBron’s legacy long after he’s gone.

However, this is not the only thing that the ‘I Promise’ foundation has been in the news for recently. Not even a week before the announcement of the ‘I Promise HealthQuarters’ a report came out of a teenager being murdered near the grounds of the ‘I Promise school.’
Ethan Liming was beaten to death following an altercation between his friends and another group of teenagers. It took place on the basketball court of the IP school. But the family is blaming the school for it. They do not believe it’s a safe enough place for their children.

But the LeBron James Family Foundation released a statement refuting the claim of not being safe which was backed by LeBron himself. And less than 5 days later LeBron attempted to solve the situation with the announcement of the new health quarters.
