Desmond Bane is a young 23-year-old shooting guard who plays for the Memphis Grizzlies. The young star has been proving why he is one of the young guns on the rise. Bane has averaged 17.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
The young star has proven time and again that he is not afraid of anyone in the NBA. His main goal is to help Ja Morant and the Grizzlies win a championship. Every time Desmond Bane steps on the court he makes sure to bring his all to the game and guide the team to a W. Recently he opened up about how he was welcomed to the NBA and what he said to LeBron James during a match.
LeBron James gave Desmond Bane his Welcome to the NBA moment
Desmond Bane entered the league in 2020. The first time he faced a team with superstars was when the Memphis Grizzlies took on the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers were fresh of a championship and had a star-studded healthy roster.
In a recent interview, Desmond Bane went on to talk about how he had faced the NBA superstars in his fourth game and was supposed to guard LeBron James. He did an extremely great job doing so as well. But LeBron gave the young star a moment he will never forget.
“He just put a forearm on me. And I’m like oh my god, this due is strong as sh-t. That was kind of my welcome to the league moment, just like you know, I’ve fulfilled a lifelong dream of mine.”
LeBron James and Bane have also had heated moments this year when the two teams locked horns. Desmond Bane decided to trash talk the veteran by telling him he was slow with his footing. James was not happy with the way he was spoken to and responded to the star saying it was the last time he would talk trash to him.

Bane’s teammate, Ja Morant was extremely proud of him for not giving into LeBron James and not backing down. Bane will be at the All-Star Weekend in Cleveland to take part in the 3-point contest against Fred Van Vleet, Cj McCollum, and more.
