LeBron James has undoubtedly been the biggest NBA star of our generation. He has had a lasting impact on the league that will be evident for the entire world to see in the coming years, even after he bids goodbye. The 4x NBA champ returned to the court recently after battling a threatening foot injury. Although his return was not celebrated in the best way, the Los Angeles Lakers have a tough next few weeks ahead of the playoffs.
Considering LeBron’s popularity, it is not all that surprising that he is always under the spotlight. Anything he does in the eye of the public will be showcased to the world within seconds. This has been the case on multiple occasions since his NBA debut. However, there have been false rumors that have circulated as well.
The Lakers superstar was not too pleased with the reports about his injury status a few days ago. Similarly, there have been multiple claims that have proven to be fake, but they have been making waves on social media despite this.
Is LeBron James really suspended?
Recently, a Twitter account posted a tweet, mentioning that the Lakers suspended LeBron for the rest of the season. With this, a video of the NBA icon driving a Ferrari was also posted. The user mentioned that LeBron was speeding at 130mph in the video.

The video is being circulated on social media as fans wonder if James has really been suspended by the Lakers. The truth is that the video is fake, and so is the caption. The video of LeBron driving the supercar is from 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the face mask explains. A Twitter user posted the clip after running into James on the highway.

This isn’t the first time that false news has been spread about LeBron. Earlier this season, fans speculated that he was spotted dancing at a Kendrick Lamar concert despite his foot injury. This was later proven to be false as the video was also old. It is astonishing to see the extent to which fans can go for views and traction on the internet.
